What Does the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X Offer?

We have ridden a bike with this same engine, the KTM 390 Duke. We really liked how easy it is to ride at low speeds. The engine pulls well from low rpm, which helps in city riding. It is a bit disappointing that KTM did not include cruise control. This feature would have made the 390 Adventure X even better for touring.
Can It Handle Rough Roads? 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X
The 390 Adventure X does not have the adjustable suspension found on the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure. But, the bike still has good off-road ability. It has a long travel WP-APEX front fork with 200mm of travel. The rear shock is adjustable for preload and also has 200mm of travel. The bike sits high off the ground with 227mm of ground clearance. This is the same as the KTM 390 Adventure.
The suspension and ground clearance are good. They should allow the bike to handle light trails and small off-road challenges. The bike also has switchable ABS. However, the smaller 19-inch front and 18-inch alloy wheels show the 390 Adventure X is more for touring. The long suspension travel will be very helpful on bad roads. It will absorb most bumps and potholes easily. This is useful when riding in new places where road conditions are unknown.

If you want a bike for serious off-roading and lots of features, the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure is a better choice. But, for those who mainly ride on roads and want a capable touring bike that can handle occasional rough patches, the 390 Adventure X makes sense.
